inner fangirl wishes
Here is a list of subjects I'd definitely love to own if given the chance. These are my most wanted ones but I also have a minor list of other things I love. I'd definitely be very grateful and would absolutely be worshipping you if ever. I don't mean any harsh feelings towards the owners of these fanlistings because they've been doing a great job so far. If in case you own any of these listings and would like to adopt them out, please feel free to send me an e-mail. You don't know how much you'll make my day. The number inside the parentheses means the number of times applied and was rejected.
Actors: Hugh Laurie
It's funny how he's the actor I don't really remember seeing until he portrayed a brilliant yet pain in the ass doctor in the FOX TV Show, House, M.D.. I never even knew he was British until I've seen his audition. He can fake an American accent so well that it's just hard to believe and yet it shows just how brilliant he is as an actor. Since then, I've become interested with his other works and I've realized that I was never wrong about his awesomeness. He focuses on his craft well, which definitely shows in the roles he portray, and he's also multi-talented. In addition to being an actor, he's also a writer and a musician.
Actresses: Natalie Portman
I can't remember how long I've been a fan of Natalie but she was definitely the first actress I've admired when I was little. I believe that's why she holds a special place here. She's a fantastic actress whose versatility and acting prowess definitely shows in the roles she portray. In addition to that, she's also smart which I believe makes her a good role model. She's someone who was able to balance her acting career and her academics and that just proves how amazing she is. That's why I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more from her.
Characters: Book/Movie: Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter)
Luna is my favorite Harry Potter female character besides Hermione. I won't deny the fact that Hermione was my first favorite but then Luna came along and she stole the show. Luna is eccentric. Sure she is, but that reminds us that we also have our own unusual ways whether we admit it or not. Beyond Luna's eccentricity though is a kind-hearted soul who loves her friends very much and gives comfort to those who need it with words filled with hope. Despite being made fun of by people, Luna is always optimistic. In addition to that she fights for what she believes in and doesn't always treat things in a logical point of view.
Musicians: Bands/Groups: The Corrs
They were probably the first band I remember listening to. I was around 5 or 6 and every time my aunt and uncle took me out of town, their music is the one that's always playing on the car stereo. Before I knew it, I've memorized all the lyrics and have been singing along since then. I've always admired how amazingly-talented these siblings are. They play their own instruments and write their own songs. I loved how they've incorporated the violin in their music and who would've thought it sounded so good together with drums, guitar and the tin whistle? The fusion of sounds definitely made their songs, instrumental or not, worth listening to.
Stage/Theatre: Wicked
I blame the book version. I've read it and by the time I finished it, I wanted more. I knew there was a musical and ended up downloading a crappy, cam-version bootleg of the Original Broadway Cast and the rest is history. I guess I won't be able to put into words how much I love this musical. I've never seen it live yet I'm wishing that someday I could. All I have at the moment is a never-ending list of bootlegs, both audio and video, from the musical that I never grow tired of listening and watching. I can enumerate you my favorite Elphabas, Glindas, Fiyeros, Wicked moments and even songs from the soundtrack and I'll never grow tired of doing so. The amazing friendship between the two lead characters, Elphaba and Glinda has become one of my all-time favorites. I'll admit Wicked is flawed yet I've learned to embrace those flaws because I think these are what made me fall in love with the musical in the first place and made it somewhat different from the other musicals. It made me love its actors to the point that it allowed me to discover other musicals these actors have starred in. I've always loved theater but only now have I loved it more than I used to and that includes the actors even. This musical is responsible for that.
TV Shows: Veronica Mars
This was my first ever TV show fandom. I'm not joking. I guess I just wasn't the TV person until I watched this show. For some reason, a girl called Veronica Mars stole my TV set and since then, watching TV has never been the same. This show made private investigation look so cool that I actually pondered on becoming one myself, minus the lead's sarcasm, of course. Veronica Mars is an amazing and kick-ass show with episodes that I really loved and enjoyed with a talented cast that either you loved or disliked. It's just witty, funny and also has its heartwarming moments. (Rejected: x1)
